Konan is the unNamed Akatsuki Member
This could be the most awaited name to be revealed so far in the series after Pein is revealed. Pein’s partner is named, Konan. S/he looks like a girl but I don’t have any proof of his/her gender yet. I’m quite sure she’s a girl though. With that rose pinned on her hair, it’s hard to imagine he’s gay.

Konan is the best. Pain, her and another orphaned named Yahiko. They were trained by Jiraiya for about 3 years. Konan is a gril, she is the lone female of the group and her and Pein are the only ones who seem to know Tobi’s true nature.

When she was younger, Konan, Pein (then known as “Nagato”), and Yahiko were left orphaned by one of Amegakure’s many wars, forcing them to fend for themselves.
The three eventually encountered Jiraiya, who looked after them and taught them basic ninjutsu.
Jiraiya had believed Konan to have died with Nagato and Yahiko some time later.
Konan has a natural talent for origami, as seen with the paper flower she keeps in her hair.
This talent extends to her type of jutsu, as she can divide her body into countless numbers of paper sheets.
These sheets can be controlled individually and formed into various shapes for a number of purposes, such as butterflies for scouting or generic weapons for attack.
Konan can even form wings that mirror her title as “God’s Angel” amongst the villagers of Amegakure, as she often carries out Pein’s will.

welll…. yeah. for sure konan is a girl, SUPER SPOILERS HERE,
the pain that is shown is the dead body of yahiko, konan and Nagato’s fellow pupil of Jaraiya. Nagato is using his body to obtain “peace”, (as you probably already know) and I don’t know how yahiko died yet, but nagato is using his body so his friend can be there for obtaining the “peace” nagato/Pain will bring.
Also I’m guessing he calls himself pain because yahiko was killed and because he was his closest friend, and losing him (probably through war) was his greatest pain. So using chakra nodes (the peircings on Pain’s bodies) he can bring others back from the dead.

hehe konan is a girl dude…. hehe. pain is yahiko and the one who controls pain is nagato who posses rinnegan. yahiko died and nagato controls his corpse. nagato has the power to control life and death. thats why he can bring dead to life. dont be confuse ok.. and trust me that konan is a girl.. ok?

oh.. i almost forgot.. if you dont know how yahiko died.. well i know.. it all happens when hanzo leader of amagekure and yahiko leader of their group have a deal. hanzo said that they should help each other obtaining peace. but hanzo trick yahiko.. hanzo is helped by danzo from konoha.. they also make a deal.. konan was captured by hanzo and order nagato to kill yahiko using a kurinai.. if nagato would not follow hanzo he would kill konan. and so far nagato was confused but still yahiko took his hands on nagato and tried to kill himself.. so yahiko died. and the hanzo attack yahiko’s group but nagato fought back.. when hanzo realized that nagato was not an ordinary kid.. they retreated. so still yahiko died. thats how yahiko died.. i hope you liked it..
